Rounding out the 11th season of ?American Idol,? the final two contestants of Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez took the stage for one final time before a winner is named.
On Tuesday night?s (May 22) episode, Phillips and Sanchez went through three different rounds rocking out the final performance episode to win the hearts of America and the judges one last time.
The evening began with song selections from creator Simon Fuller. Up first, the 16-year-old songstress sang her rendition of Whitney Houston?s ?I Have Nothing? while the 21-year-old jammer gave his version of Ben E. King?s ?Stand By Me.?
During the second round, the former pawn shop employee gave his sexy take on Billy Joel?s ?Moving Out? while Jessica sang Yolanda Adams? hit ?The Prayer.?
Finally, finishing off their third round were the songs that will be released as the crowned winner?s first single. For Sanchez, that was her tune "Change Nothing", which the judges weren?t thrilled with. Randy Jackson was blunt with his opinion, saying, ?"Let me be straight up, I did not love the song,? while Jennifer Lopez also gave her advice, explaining, "You have to be able to say to someone, 'This is not me', you can change songs. Those are your options as an artist."
The final performance of the night could be described with the old saying ?save the best for last? - as Phillips closed things out while getting a standing ovation for his tune ?Home,? in which Jackson applauded and said, "Dude, I loved the song, I loved you, I loved the marching band, everything about that was perfect!"
Making the night even more performance packed, last season?s winner Scotty McCreery and Jason Derulo both took the stage.
Tune into FOX tomorrow night at 8/7c to find out who will be this year?s ?American Idol? and check out tonight?s performances below!

Rapper/radio personality Shawnna chatted it up (where has this chick been?) with Sway recently where she shared her thoughts on rap beefs between females. Also, Lil' Duval chatted it up about his new show "Hip Hop Squares" and threesomes with his girlfriend.
Rapper Shawnna stopped by Sway's Shade 45 where they talked about unity in the rap game. During their discussion, Shawnna revealed how disappointed she was by the recent beef between Lil' Kim and Nicki Minaj. She made a good point that male rappers are winning together and the men in the industry figure out how to make money together. She questioned why women think there can only be one chick winning at a time.
She added that the sad thing was that its the women who promote that belief that there can only be one. She also discussed her decision to leave the DTP crew.
Watch Shawna break it down to Sway about female rappers here:
On why she left DTP:
In other interviews....
Lil' Duval stopped by The Breakfast Club this morning to promote tonight's premiere of "Hip Hop Squares" on MTV2. While discussing his support of gay marriage (his sister is a lesbian), Lil' Duval went into A LOT of detail about threesomes with another woman and his girlfriend. We learned that he lets her pick out their partners because she likes pretty women whereas he is more into "body." Well isn't that interesting....
He also promoted his upcoming standup tour "A$$hole By Mistake."
BONUS: Check out some behind the scenes footage of Lil Duval and DJ Envy taping Hip Hop Squares:
The show premieres tonight on MTV2 at 11p/10c.

Which C list singer and performer was seen outside a Vegas strip club over the weekend trying to get her infant in the door with her? (BuzzFoto)
The Billboard Music Awards terrorized Vegas this weekend and after doing a real quick search, the only singer there with a baby friend (I think) was Alicia Keys. But that guess really doesn't work out for several reasons. Alicia isn't sitting on the C-list and her baby is past infant age. Besides, Swizz Beak probably brought a harem of pussy twerkers to his room every night, so Alicia didn't have to go far to watch titty balls bounce. This blind item sounds like a giant misunderstanding. It was just Selena Gomez trying to get Justin Bieber into the club.
Another staff change at this newsy national television show. One of its presenters is out the door. In fact, she is so far out the door that she is going to a competitor network.
Here?s why: She had an affair with the show?s big star. She expected that an affair would lead to a move up the food chain? eventually leading to the seat next to his. Wrong. He is married, she was just a fling? and there was already another mistress ahead of her coveting the same seat!
She was so mad when she found out that she confronted him at work. Bad move. He holds a lot of power at the network. Whoever he wants to stay, stays. Whoever he wants to go, goes. If you annoy him, you?re shown the door. She annoyed him. Buh bye! (Blind Gossip)
Well, Amy Robach just left Today....
This hot headed pop star was complaining backstage at the Billboard Music Awards because Adele nabbed most the awards but didn?t show up. The star snapped, ?It?s fitting that she always wears a muumuu because she is such a cow!? (Hollywood Dame via Blind Gossip)
Rage baby Chris Brown? Somebody stick a butt plug in his yell hole already.
You know, when you are a big tweener star who relies on wholesomeness and want to keep your reputation intact, you really can't go around hitting on every teen that walks by you. So, what do you do if you are an A list tweener and want to find some women who are open to more than just kissing, you let your mom handle it for you. Not a manager or an agent, not even a friend. Nope. Mom handled things for her A list tweener(s). Her only rule is that it has to be someone who is not a fan. She would find escorts who would sign confidentiality agreements in advance and then spend time with the tweener(s) and be gone the next morning. She had no problems with this. She felt it was way better than a scandal. It was way more preferable than waking up to some unexpected teen pregnancy or some crazy fan who sold everything they knew to the nearest tabloid. With a new escort coming every night there was no need to take that chance. Mom even made sure that when the tweener(s) had a girlfriend the escorts kept coming. At least one horrific breakup was the result of a girlfriend discovering that. (CDAN)
The Jonas Brothers, of course? Mama Jonas probably subscribes the whole "fuck party in the back, wholesome virgin in the front" way of life. Like the mullet of religions!

Above the Buzz examines how these former pop princesses serve as examples of how stars can re-brand themselves again and again.
By Jocelyn Vena
<P>Both Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson dominated headlines this week. Not since the late '90s have these two duked it out for so much media coverage.</P><P>However there's a remarkable difference in what's happening today to what was happening then: Then, everyone was talking about their music and their pop star personas. Where Britney was a Lolita who proclaimed virginity while dancing provocatively in belly-baring tops, Jessica was innocent and sweet and didn't dare anger her minister daddy. Jessica released songs that put her big voice on display, and Brit focused on songs that put eyes on her dazzling dance moves and her ear for dance beats.</P><P>A lot has changes in the years since then. What's interesting is that, despite their seemingly different personalities, in retrospect, they have a lot more in common than was initially apparent: They are both down-home country girls who have built empires that few can touch. Both have had very public career highs met with very public personal lows. Both have loved boy banders. Both have even documented their lives on reality shows, albeit with very different outcomes.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="'We All Are Authentic'" id="vid:493178.id:1633959" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>With almost 15 years separating the women they are now from those girls they were then, it seems they are looking to change it up.</P><P>At a time where the pop world is filled with plenty of younger pop princesses looking for their time to shine, Britney and Jessica seem comfortable enough with their own musical legacies to let them all have their moments. And, they should be at ease. They have both been incredibly successful in that world, having sold millions of albums, had huge radio singles and made music that is uniquely their own. And while Simpson has let her music take a back seat to other projects in the past few years, Spears is still a working singer who sells out tours and tops the charts.</P><P>These days, Jessica seems focused on maintaining the post-pop star second act she launched several years back. She's a fashion mogul with a billion-dollar empire that has outfitted fashionistas with reasonably priced essentials like platforms and bags. She also judges up-and-coming fashion talent on NBC's "Fashion Star," sharing with new designers her own wisdom on breaking into the industry. But, always savvy enough to keep people guessing, she's expanded her brand even further.</P><P>Now, she is also the latest mommy mogul. Jessica just added another gig to her post-pop star career — that of the A-list mom. Just this week, she welcomed her first child, Maxwell Drew, into the world. We expect she'll use that experience to re-launch herself yet again. We should expect fashion lines for stylish toddlers. And who wouldn't want to see a reality show that follows the new mom and her family?</P><P>It seems that, like Simpson, Spears might be looking to take a break from music for a moment. Having already given birth to two sons and tried her hand at the worlds of fashion and beauty, Spears is now a frontrunner to judge "X Factor." Her own experiences in the industry certainly make her the perfect candidate to give advice on the ups and downs of pop superstardom. She's experienced both with the entire world watching. While Spears' other projects (clothing line, fragrances) have generally been overshadowed by her music career, this rumored gig might be the first one to take the attention away from her pop fame while using it for all it's worth.</P><P>Spears is probably up for the gig because she is basically the heir to the Madonna legacy. She truly understands how to be a pop star. And the rumors that she might join Simon Cowell on the show seem to be intriguing Spears' critics and non-devotees more than anything she's done in the past few years. Spears might have found her perfect next chapter.</P><P>Right now, it's unclear how these new career paths will shape the future for Simpson and Spears — musically and otherwise. But, as has always been the case for them, no one doubts they will redefine what it means to be a female pop star. They are women who aren't willing to go quietly into the night. For Spears and Simpson, it seems they want it all or nothing. And, who can blame them?</P><P><i>What would you like to see Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson do next? 'Carly is my artist, and I'm Usher's artist, so it's kind of cool that we're all performing,' Bieber tells MTV News at Billboard Music Awards.

<P><b>LAS VEGAS</b> — As was expected, Justin Bieber's show-stopping performance of "Boyfriend" at Sunday's (May 20) <i>Billboard</i> Music Awards brought out the squeals and the swag.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Justin Bieber Breaks Down Billboard Awards 'Boyfriend' Performance" id="vid:770729.id:1685461" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>When MTV News caught up with Bieber on the white carpet for the awards show, just before his big number, the teenage superstar said his expectations for the evening were relatively simple: He just wanted everyone to have fun and to be able to show off all the hard work he's been putting into his dance moves.</P><P>"This performance is going to be fun. I practiced a lot in the dance studio," Bieber said. "I've been working hard, and I can't wait to show the fans what I've been working so hard on." Since the other members of Bieber's musical family — Carly Rae Jepsen and Usher — were also performing, did the trio discuss any feelings of friendly competition or joke around about which performance would be better than the others?</P><P>"[It's] not a competition. It's all love," Bieber said with a smile. "We're all a family. Carly is my artist, and I'm Usher's artist, so it's kind of cool that we're all performing here, together.</P><P>For first-time <i>Billboard</i> Music Awards attendee and performer Jepsen, the goal for the night was to remember to take a moment to soak it all in.</P><P>"I want to feel happy when I'm onstage," she said. "A lot of times you kind of get caught up in the performance and then you worry and then it's over and you think, 'I didn't even enjoy it.' So tonight, after [having a successful] soundcheck this morning, it's going to be about having fun. It's me and my band, we've got some dancers and some fun lights, it's going to be an interesting show."</P><P><i>Who had the best </i>Billboard<i> performance: Justin, Usher or Carly? I didn't watch the Billboard Music Awards last night, because I try to keep my holy Sundays Bieber and Chris Brown-free. And because I was too busy watching (CELEBRITY APPRENTICE SPOILER ALERT, AVERT EYES NOW) Clay Gayken get robbed on Donald Trump's Double Hour of Has-Been Foolery. Jabba the Trump is not only the asshole of all assholes, but he's a total Clay-ophobe too. When Arsenio was named as the winner, I immediately gained 100 pounds, slipped on a pair of mom jeans (paired with a "Clay Shakes My Ovaries" t-shirt made with Puffy Paint) and knocked the 50 fat cats from my lap to take to the Claymate message boards on Yahoo! to declare my outrage over that shit while sharing recipes for the perfect creamed cake stew to drown my feelings with. I became an instant Claymate! Don't worry, I exorcised the Claymate out of me by not spooning with my homemade Gayken doll during the night. I'm good now.
Anyway, so last night I didn't watch Katy Perry sing her new song "Wide Awake" on a set made from leftover pieces and projections from Smashing Pumpkins' "Tonight, Tonight" video. But Pink and her husband Carey Hart watched it and he accused Katy of copy + pasting his wife's Grammys performance. When I watched Katy awkwardly swing around up there while trying to sing, I didn't see Pink's performance, but I did see shades of this:
At least Mary Johanson has an excuse for not walking around on the stage, but Katy Perry doesn't! I kept waiting for Denise Richards and a Jesus on wheels to dance across the stage in front of Katy. If only.
Here's Katy wearing Miss Yugoslavia 1984's pageant dress while posing with her grandma on the white carpet.
